Just had mine done at Rennwerke in Elmsford. No drama. They do a fair number of them.

Lots of good stuff to say about Bill Rudtner.
Lately he has been concentrating on Boxsters, but don't let that throw you off. He knows 911's as well as anyone. Bill K https://www.pcarshops.com/new-york/rudtners-south-shore-performance-freeport-ny

I would personally avoid formula motorsports in LIC, Queens. Can detail my experience in private if you are curious.

I'll second Pino at RSR in NJ. Does great work, he's done everything from a bumper respray to a full resto for me and have always been happy with the work.

My research and experience having it done recently says it’s about a $2k job.You could probably get that down some by doing some of the prep yourself but then the car would need to be towed to and from the shop. Gas tank comes out and front suspension.

Lots of options already listed. You may have to travel a little bit to get good work.

Most of the best Porsche specialty shops aren't in NYC. I see a few good ones mentioned above. I'll mention Powertech in northern NJ as another good shop for classic Porsches.
