I think that you should try again to rotate by one tooth, do it when the car is warmed.

Did you install a solid rotor or are you using the stock rotor? Some after market ignitions don’t always play nice with the stock rotor.

Well stated, but the vacuum signal is going to be very weak with the PMOs. The factory vacuum advance is likely to be useless when you're running triple downdrafts or ITBS. If the 123 dizzy can filter or smooth the signal it might work.

Plenty of cars running carbs without the advance pot.

Not adressed to you as you know but for the ones following this thread ...
I've no experiencies with PMO etc. but in case of the disributors vacuum port its very importand to know where its hose is connected to. The correct dizzy vacuum port on a K-Jet is the upper one on the throttle bodys back side and it provides the "ported vacuum" as described above. Many EFI systems do come with ports providing a true manifold vacuum, which is very different to the ported vacuum. As the manifold vacuum provides the full range from full to almost no load depening on the full range of trottle butterfly position and the current rpm. The ported vacuum only provides vacuum at the first approx 15 degrees of the throttle butterfly position.
