Yep. Green wire cooked near a tight bend when it emerges from the harness by the number 1 intake runner. Whole thing discolored and brittle. Backtracked into harness until I got to fresh green wire and outside and inside of it was soft and clean (night and day difference). See offending section of brittle green wire below.
I was able to cut out the brittle section and had enough good green wire to route the green wire to exit the harness tape a little ‘earlier’ and connect direct to the new green wire dongle part with the timer jr kit. Got some wire heat shield from amazon and slid it over the short run of exposed green wire for a little extra protection. Rewrapped harness with self fusing tape. See cooked section of green wire and final repair below repair below. This fixed it. Starter is working reliably again too for some reason. Not sure how that will end but starter is working (?). Thanks all and thanks Dennis for the quick timer jr lit and parts. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1653231403.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1653231454.jpg |
