Unhappy Strange Oil Leak Problem - Help

Hello,

I have this strange oil leak issue on my 1985 Carrera. If the car sits for about three or more days it develops a leak on the left side underneath the rear.

I can drive the car all day in all conditions and them park it overnight and there is not a drop of oil underneath. Maybe even two days... But when I leave it for an extended period such as over three to four days there is a puddle equal to about five tablespoons.

Whats this about? Is this just a bad joke the neighbor is playing on me? It is driving me nuts.

Calspeed

Be thankful that its only happening when it sits for 3-4 days. 11 qts of oil sinking to the bottom of your car has a way of finding a place to leak. Have you looked under your engine to determine the source? valve cover gaskets? seals? oil returns?

When you leave it for a few days next time, climb underneath and see if you can find the source. Chances are it will be very easy to find the source, if this is your only leak.

The places Sonic suggested would be the first place to look.

I vote for the neighbor playing a trick on you. I think to get him back you should roll up little balls of ground beef and hide them under his floor mats. In a couple of days he will confess.
