Got my lift!
Ok, so I haven't had a chance to put the 911 on it yet - gotta fashion some sort of ramp. It's the Mohawk HR-6. Yes, it's $1000 more than the Harbor Fright jobbie, but I have 9" more than you do...

Thom, that last photo reminded me of my more juvenile days of cow-tipping!
![]() That's pretty cool.

Good stuff. I especially like pic #2, where it looks like you fabbed up some "adaptors" to match up w/ the frame rails.

Cool Tom, but it looks a little dangerous.

It was $2300 after tax et al
Those adapters came with it, actually. There's 2 sets - one set that's almost flat, and another with threaded extensions that go up 7" The bus is surprisingly stable on the lift, a good part of that is due to the weight of the lift - it's ~800lbs I wouldn't want to party with 3 18-year-old cheerleaders in the back of the bus while it's on the lift, but I feel comfortable being under it. You want scary? Try the 6' version of this lift! ![]()

Nice Thom, but I'm abiut disappointed for two reasons! 1) Where is the bikini clad model!? 2) Is that rust under the bus!?
Shame on you! I thought better of you...maintain your good name and get those 18 yr old cheerleaders under the bus with some brushes and a can of POR-15. ![]() I like the lift, esp. the extendable rubber pads. One gets what one pays for I guess....and free VintageBus advertising ![]() |
