A AAadvantage auto transport
I want to share a horrible experience regarding A AAadvantage auto transport that I had. My goal is to save someone else the stress and misery this carrier put me through. I placed an order with them on 4/22 to ship my 911 from CA to MA. they stated pick up in 4-7days and delivery 7-14 days after p/u. The car did not get picked up until late eve of 5/1 (9days later)
I called 2 days after PU for ETA and was given 5/10 for the del date. I called everyday to track the progress. On 5/8 when I called for the sitrep, they told me the tractor lost its clutch in TX 2 days prior. I immediately said "hey, Ive spoke with you the last 2 days and you told me the driver was ahead of schedule and may be there 5/9!" to which they responded we are sorry but sometimes these things happen. I then said what are we taking for an ETA? they told me Monday 5/12 or Tue 5/13. I told them I was heading to NY on business weds-fri and would not be there to accept del myself, but would make sure if the driver contacted me that someone would be at the house. Tuesday I had not heard from driver and when I called I was told Weds or thurs 5/15, I said your kidding and made plans to have a relative stay at my house for 2 days to take reciept of the car. I also gave them my cell phone and changed that to the # for them to reach me at. No calls No car on Weds...same on thurs I came home friday and unleashed a flurry of built up stress on the customer service rep and said what is going on? has my car been damaged lost or stolen? I have been patient thus far but you people are pushing it. They told me to request a refund with the owners and agreed this was out of hand and they would have the driver contact me immediatley. 3 hrs later the driver called to tell me he was in Maine and may get to me on Monday 5/19. I said you drove by me! He yelled at me and told me myu car was in the belly and he was not moving 5 cars to get to mine. I told him I wanted the car tonight or tomorrow morning or I would report it stolen. It arrived late Sat 5/17 covered from front to rear in oil and 17 days or road dirt and grime. I paid in full (had no choice) but now the owners will not return my calls or respond to email regarding a refund. I hope my story makes you think twice before ever using this company. |
