Any transmission specialists in the NorthEast / New England area?

I'd like someone to eyeball my 930's transmission internals while I have the engine out. It was always a little tricky finding 1st unless the car was at a dead stop, and downshifting from 4th to 3rd never grinded but took more effort than other gear changes (oddly, only when fully warmed up). It might have just been clutch related, in which case that's great and it goes back together with some new gaskets.

Dawes/Automobile Associates/Dan Jacobs/Musante are all within 2 hours of me in NY... and in reality I'm sure they are perfectly capable of performing whatever is necessary. I'm just wondering if there is still some little hole in the wall shop out there where this is basically all they do, like a Gary Fairbanks in CT before he retired.

Any recommendations? Rumor has it there is "a guy" in NH?

Going through my own posts looking for something I posted (Pelican is a great archive even for my own experiences at this point) and realize I didn’t tie off on this post.
I did use Kevin Gross for my 930, and would highly recommend him to anyone who is contemplating the renewal of their Porsche transaxle. Told me what could be reused, what needed to be changed, and what parts were something of a “jump ball” that could go either way but he’d recommend be changed. Great communication, pictures, explanations, and results. And a gentleman to boot. Two thumbs up!
