Ultimate downforce!!!

I think we could all use one of these for our DE/track events.

Ungainly as it appears, it probably works as intended. Form (but not always beauty) usually follows function. But it'd be nice.

I'd like to see a 911 with a sprint car wing

That's a push bar so they can get him out of the snow bank when they nose into them.

No. It's used to find the car after it gets lost in a snow drift.

Porsche Crest

Actually ... your subject title is a bit misleading!

Jim Hall, who introduced carbon fiber to Indy race car structures [promptly copied by F1 designers] more than 20 years ago ... probably the most innovative race car engineer/designer alive ... came up with The Ultimate Downforce solution for the 1970 Can Am season -- the twin 'Hoover' fans powered by a Rotax 2-stroke engine! When the Rotax fired up, the whole Chapparal 2J car squatted down on the suspension about 1.5 inches!!! And, Can Am cars weren't known for their soft suspensions! About 2 tons of static downforce was generated by that fan! Promptly banned by the FIA, of course!!!

Put that on a 914 and it would look like a lawn mower.

No offense intended to 914 owners. :-)

That wing is pretty dangerous with NO front spoiler. Car will do wheelies at about 100 mph....[:-(

He's driving on snow with spiked tires. The wing isn't the only thing keeping him from doing 100mph!

Jesus Jack that looks like a picnic table on the back of your car! The ultimate tailgate accessory. No offense just pulling your leg!

It's good for 3 full seconds at Willow Springs. Ugly as it is, that makes it hard to resist.
