Rennline RSR weld on strut tower brace help!

Has anyone installed the Rennline RSR weld on strut tower brace in an early 911?

As you can see from the images the brace is just too big! On their website the reference image looks to be a later car, G body? On the fuel filler side it looks really tight. Will have to modify the crap out of these to get them to work. Is it worth it? Have I bought the wrong thing? Is there another single bar brace that works better.

No info on their website to say these don’t fit an early car.

Cheers

-Kav

Very tight on fuel fill side. You can make it work though. You might have to cut the neck on the tank and have more rubber hose than normal but not 100%.

It’s not just a bolt on but not too difficult.

Just cut, grind and weld to fit.
My metal guy made mine from scratch but there's no reason you can't modify yours.

Reach out to Dave at TRE ... i welded some of their RSR mounts on my 89 and i did have to make them fit.
I purchased mine directly from TRE and they will be able to give you some guidance as to how to install them correctly !

EDIT : I just went on TRE's website and their RSR mounts are significantly smaller than what Rennline sells, perhaps you can return
the ones you bought and get the TRE version ?

My guy made these. He has another pair or two if you want them. Just the mounts, not the bar. I’m doing a center fill fuel tank so no worries about interference.

Not hard to make them out of rectangular tubing. All the torsion bar cars are the same size on the strut towers, so not sure what you have. They don't look right.
