I'm definitely a fan of the 1k mile re-torque. Even using Supertec studs (which have a fine thread), there were a few studs that moved a bit.

Yup,it is a must if you have the engine rebuild or just the heads done,no way to go around..any Porsche 911 mechanic knows this....among other things to do in 1-1500K miles

Not sure I've actually hit a thousand miles since the rebuild, but it won't be a bad idea to get to it over the winter.
