CIS to Weber tidy up - What’s this pipe and what should I do with the wiring?
Hi all!
Getting closer and closer to turning the key on my ‘76 911 which I am converting from CIS to Weber 40s. I am hoping to find out a few questions 1) What is this pipe for? 2) what should be done with the old CIS (WUR etc.) wiring? Assuming there’s no need for this now, should I tuck it away, remove it or does it need to be plugged into something else now? Thank you 🙂 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1654434618.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1654434637.jpg |
That "pipe" is part of your fuel venting system and goes to the charcoal cannister.

The old wiring can either be left, systematically disassembled and removed or a totally new harness can be made by Dennis (Timmy2)

Based on your location… Tape off the ends and then tuck/tape them out of the way is easiest.

I left mine and I tucked it under the other harness.

Thank you all for the advice. Sounds like wiring wise it’s safest to tape it up and tick it away
But on the charcoal piping, what’s my best option there? I’ve opted to remove the charcoal canister as nobody seems to run one with the Weber carbs. Can I plug that port? And do I need to plug any other ports? |
I plugged mine with a rubber cone plug.
