Which of you have put F model mirrors on a G model?
 
Please show us your own various examples, and methods of this "operation"
And here I am probably thinking of those of you who have come up with a different solution yourself. I'm really into thinking outside the box! :)
Yes, of course you can weld the original holes, and make new ones for the old mirrors ... but is that interesting .. ;)

No one has ever mentioned noticing, it just looks like a larger base gasket.

These are the 72-73 mirrors. You have to drill a 1/2" hole from the inside of the drivers door, to be able to get the allan wrench acess to the mounting screws in right.
