There were a few "product placement" shots in this movie. Porsche, Kawasaki, and Lockheed-Martin come to mind.
Despite that, this was, in my opinion, the best sequel ever made. Top Gun was (and is) my favorite movie growing up, and I was almost dreading the sequel. I was wrong. I almost NEVER pay for a theater seat twice, but I will be for this one. I've gotta see it in theaters again. |

Took it as a nod to the original 356 in the first movie

Owned by a local San Diego Pelican & R Gruppe member. I believe the car has a 2.7 RS motor in it actually...

His love interest in the original drove a sweet little 356 speedster. Glad to see they’re keeping the tradition going!

In the first movie Tom wore the original Porsche Design black watch. I did not see the new movie yet but I hear he wears another Porsche Design watch in new movie. They are my favorite time piece. All black like the dash in a 73 911.

It's my friend Nick's car and go to this link to learn all about it. I did restoration work on it. https://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?152448-Silver-Metallic-1973-911S-Re-paint

Just came back, had to sit through the whole movie to finally see the car
![]() Doesn't do much other than be a stage prop, still contributed immensely to the overall picture though.. Next time they could strip out the planes and leave the car. |

From what I was told there was a driving seen but as with all movies you never know what the final cut is going to include.
