Horn Grill Light Retainer Clip

OK, my new horn grill lights are installed. Question: there is a small retaining clip on the bottom of the trim ring. However, I question whether it can really hold the trim ring on! The clip appears to be on correctly and screwed down tight, but I can pry the trim rings off with my fingernails (although it requires some effort). Anybody have any problems with the trim rings falling off on the road due to vibration, etc.????? Thanks. -- Curt
