remote locking system (after market)
 

I have a '91 Carrera C4, which I had equipped with a remote locking system. I put it in the shop for some exhaust work, and it came back with the control unit gone. I have bought an Avital locking system which is much more complex in terms of the wiring harness.
I've installed it but I'm not getting any response from the unit. iI's powered, has a 3 pin connector for the locks.
Does anyone have experience with a successful installation of a remote locking device?
I'm not interested in the peripherals

have you looked at bergvill? i have tried his hid headlights kits when i had a 993 and it worked a charm. here is the link for his door lock control
