Stoddard 911S/RS alum calipers - any experience racing?

Hi,

I have been racing early '70s 911S/RS for over 40 years with the aluminum front calipers and they work well for me. But mine are getting old and more valuable, and I fear failure.

Has anyone tried these new production aluminum S calipers? Any feedback appreciated.

We put the new ones on cars and they worked fine. I would have yours rebuilt and use them. Nice S calipers aren’t cheap but they aren’t rare or particularly valuable. I had a set from a 908 that were pretty special but normal S caliper cores are $400-600 and about double rebuilt.

Send them off to Eric and the PMB crew. Better than new when done.

+1 for PMB - They did a great job rebuilding my S calipers and they have performed flawlessly since.

I have a set $300 if anyone wants them, bores are good but will need 3 new pistons.

I first started selling the reproductions when they came out around 2016. I’ve never heard anything bad about them.

Their Carrera calipers have been great for me for several years. Look great too, even here in teh Florida humidity.
