Turbo Tail Delete
I have an ‘82 SC with a factory Turbo tail added by some P/O. I would like to remove it and get back to the original look.
However since the tail on my car was added after the fact by persons unknown of unknown Porsche/technical savvy, how do I ascertain if my car has the front spoiler that’s supposed to be part of the overall package? I think it needs to be removed at the same time as the tail snd it makes sense to sell it as a package. And of course to make my car drive right as I understand things can be squirrelly if either item is installed separately. But the question is, was it ever installed? Whats there now? There’s something under the chin, question is what. Photos, description, P/N’s? |
Front spoiler without the rear is just fine. (looks better too)
Rear without the front is a nono. Both at the same time, also good. |
That is good information. Thanks.

The black thing at the bottom is the front chin spoiler. As noted, it's OK to have this without the rear spoiler.

Well, it appears I have the right part. Here's mine:

Good move Steamer - a much nicer look in my opinion. My 911SC has the front but none on the back and I've had it up to 146mph. It felt completely stable. Felt really good LOL

I replaced the big tea tail with a duck and it looks cleaner, kept the front spoiler of course
