Cam Chain guides
Can the cam chain plastic guides be replaced on their own w/o tinkering with the chain or tensioner?

Yes, if you're careful not to drop one in the case.

The chains will want to hang up on the ramp groves under tension, a thin putty knife can help.

So all 6 of them can be replaced, right? Not just the ones visible under the covers.
Also, which one is the brown guide?

Short in height brown one goes in lower right side, in the case. Long ends go toward the nearest sprocket. You also need to stick an angled tool, like a brake spoon in behind the ramp as you tighten the bolts so to keep the ramp centered in the passage and to be sure the lock clip in the ramp is secured in the groove in the bolt.
