I'm looking to either rebuild or buy an already rebuilt 915 transmission and looking for input for a either a reputable shop that rebuilds or sells used rebuilt ones. Any input is appreciated. Located in Mass.

California Motorsports is an excellent business, both servicing gearboxes and manufacturing parts for them. In the States, I generally tell people they don’t need to incur the added cost of shipping a gearbox to get a good rebuild. But if case repairs are needed, or in an instance like yours where you are in Mexico, they would be my first choice.

Just had him completely clean and rebuild my 915, and added a WaveTrac LSD.

Although, if you want something in New England, this might be a stretch for you.

Psup4s, hope you've got a good steer on this.

Matt, know you are to gearboxes what Bill Verburg is to wheels and 3.6s (and annuls upon annuls of cool data). Have you had any experience with Perfect Power here in Chicago? 915 is in good knick but may get some shorter gears in time. Or anyone else for that matter.

That's a name I haven't heard in a while. Saul used to buy a bunch of LSDs, but I haven't heard from him since before covid.

The two shops I work most closely with out there are the Weathered Brothers, Brain and George, at Midwest Eurosport and Eurosport Racing, respectively.
