Tuck or untuck micro switch cable

Should I be pining the micro switch cable under this clap or is the clamp to hold ONLY the switch in place..and let the cable just hang loose?

thanks, seemed little awkward bending wire to fit in. And I tried attaching it to the handle outside the door THEN putting the door handle on..wouldn't fit through the door handle opening with the switch already attached. How can you clamp the wire on while its inside the door! the screw is tiny and no room to maneuver!

Thanks again

you attach the cable on the handle outside after you put it in the door..

little confused..

did you mean, put it on outside the door “then” put it thru the hole with the switch already on?
also do you have any censors for sale in your parts?
