I have been attempting to address the lack of turn signals/4-way flashers in my car. I had replaced the relay (behind the gauges) which solved the issue for a few months. Signals stopped working again (4-ways worked). While working under the dash, I think I disconnected something and now I don’t have 4-way flashers, interior lights (overhead, glovebox, etc.) and possibly other electrical functions.

I have parked the car until I can resolve the issues. I have clean and checked the fuses. I have looked under the dash and nothing looks unplugged (except my radio components). Any advice on the best way to diagnose the issue? I have a voltage meter and limited electrical experience.

Coldstart... saying you have limited elec experience, I think you will possibly find great enlightenment by getting and studying an electrical diagram for your '72. The diagram may appear an intimidating mess at first. Set that aside. Follow the lines & connections. An 'aha' moment may arrive. If you are DIY inclined, this has a high probability of happening. When 'aha' arrives, you'll have an entirely new electrical perspective on your car.

A caution on the elec diagram from Prospero Garage. These are fine looking diagrams... but the one for my '80 proved inaccurate. Might not be for '72. In any case, I tried contacting them a couple of times. No response.
