Dansk bypass test pipe baffles

So I picked up a used cat bypass test pipe that I plan to use with factory exhaust system and chip but without doing proper research and now reading where it will sound like sh:t and will reduce low end torque. I haven’t tried it yet but was looking for baffles that could be welded into the bypass pipe for back pressure. Googled and can’t find anything or even a Dyno showing comparative results. Anyone with info or links appreciated

How about posting up the links that say it will sound like **** and kill your bottom end torque.

The euro cars didn't suffer for this and they run just fine (which is the goal of all those who Wong their DME and run cat bypasses) without the alleged back-pressure of a cat.

Yeah, not doing that but would ask why doesn’t Wong have dyno comparisons for such a basic mod?

Stock SC / Carrera exhaust routing has plenty of 90 degree bends, unequal length primaries, merges, crossover pipe, etc, etc. You're not in material danger of low back pressure.

You don't need to worry about welding in baffles. The car will sound and perform better with the pre-muffler / bypass and Steve Wong chip. A bypass will be more aggressive than a chambered pre-muffler, but I doubt it will sound "bad."

What muffler are you running? One out?

At a minimum, try it as-is before you resort to any "unnatural acts." It's only nine bolts to remove & reinstall cat, pre-muffler/ bypass.

Thanks for that recommendation, It’s a totally stock 3.2 with one out. I’ll go ahead and hook it up and order the chip.
