Rattling front suspension
I recently noticed a rattle in the front end of my car when going over small bumps. It's more noticeable when turning. I emptied my trunk thinking it was my tool kit or spare making the noise. I suspect the steering rack. You can hear knocking when moving the wheels left to right when the car is parked. It has new turbo tie rods that were installed with the spacers about a year ago.
Can the rack be fixed or should I buy a rebuilt unit? |

Make sure the steering rack bolts are torqed to spec. Some blue loctite on these bolts are a good idea also.
Also, remove the belly pan and torque all the suspension mounting points, including the swaybar mounts.

If your a arm bushings are original, they may have sagged enough that your torsion bar is hitting the steering rack support. Just a thought.
