experts with flag mirror electric issues wanted!!

1985 911
anyone know if this wiring configuration is correct in the harness connector end?

i have completely taken apart the mirror down to the motor and clutch.. changing out the diode and checking the tilt / pan movements.. they work fine until the go back on the car. it must be a wiring issue, but where? how?
the directional toggle at the top of the door trim has also been replaced, new one does the same as the old one.. it only moves the mirror sided to side NO TILT! no matter which direction you push it.

i also took apart the old toggle switch to look inside.. nothing out of the ordinary.. as if i could tell anyway.

I see that the wire colors are different on the mirrors than on the switch and the ones coming form the harness. think thats where in need help.. getting the correct odd colored wires in sync.

unfortunately schematics are another language to me… but agin the colors are different all around.
nor can i understand the color chart on the directional switch

any input would be helpful

As I replied in your other post, check the continuity from the dash switch to the door toggle switch then to the mirrors. The mirror wiring is slightly different on each side of the car. All wires pass through the inner fender into the door, bending each time the door is open or closed.

are you referring to the switch on the dash under the speedometer, that determines which mirror the toggle / directional switch controls?! if so, that is the only component I didn’t think of inspecting.

I didn’t catch that on the other post!

CAN NOT FIQURE IT OUT!!

I have ulooked everywhere, no broken wires, colored wires are connected to the like. except the GREEN wire from the mirror which i’ve connected to Yellow stripe.. afraid to mix colors, of course black and black, white and white and blue with blue, BUT yellow strip goes with grey or black w/ white stripe? OR is there another combo that will allow the switch to tilt mirrors?!! frustrating to say the least.
the dash switch seems to work fine.. does what it should.
