H1'S--how do you remember how to put back together?
I'm restoring some H1's--they are currently being rechromed--but I only took one in so I can use the other to figure out how to put everything back together. How do others do it? Are there instructions or pics somewhere? The problem is I have to wait 2 to 4 weeks for rechrome, put one back together, then wait another 2 to 4 weeks for the other. Is there a better way?

Jon,
A digital camera with a good close-up capability [Kodak DCS Pro 14n comes to mind] would seem the logical method. Take pics at every stage of the disassembly, from multiple angles ... 20 - 30 pics should document the process adequately! Of course ... a spare H1 would help, too!

makes sense--i'll try it (reluctantly). I'm always afraid of 'that one pic' I need that I forgot to take.

"Kodak DCS Pro 14n comes to mind"
Warren, You have a subtle sense of humor. Don't forget to use the hi-res mode too (about 17Mb file size?). Sherwood Lee http://members.rennlist.org/911pcars |
