Straps for Carrera mats
A silly question here. I have an '87 coupe which has those Carrera mats on top of the usual interior-colored ones. However, due the fact that the straps that hold these mats in place with a plastic locking clips are missing the driver's side mat tends slide itself under the clutch pedal during driving. Anyone know where I can purchase the straps with the plastic pieces that go with them? Thanks.

Not the info you asked for, but this is my experience:
My 911 came with some loosely layed foot mats witout any fixation. Quite annoying on the first rides...after a web research I bite the bullet and purchased original Porsche foot mats together with a set of holders: https://www.classicshop.porsche.com/pcos/zentralseite/zubehoer/fussmatten/fussmatten-in-schwarz-fuer-linkslenker-fuer-porsche-911-coup-0000432024970e.html You can buy these holders separately as well, but then you need foot mats with the female opposites to fix them: https://www.classicshop.porsche.com/pcos/zentralseite/halter-fuer-fussmatten-fuer-porsche-964-und-993-00004320279.html https://www.rosepassion.com/en/00004320279-p2702-set-P2702 ![]() Fits perfect, the foot mats won't slide any more, are still easy to remove and fix again. I don’t have that sort of mat retainer or an ‘87 to compare what you have. You can find Quick-Release Buckles and 1” or 3/4” nylon web strap on The Amazon - OR BETTER YET at a local sewing fabric store to get the right size, color and advice… that is if you want to try a DYI. You didn’t mention if the male part of the buckle still attached to the seat frame or floor on the passenger side, if not you will need to sew/secure the strap to the male buckle but this actually loops thru the openings. Need to create a loop or section the other end to attach it to the anchoring point. If it’s the seat frame, the loop that goes thru openings in the male section is cinched like a pants belt to hold the floor mat in position. What ever method, make sure and melt the ends of the nylon strap to prevent fraying and unraveling. If passenger side is still attached, you can get an idea of how to access and attach the male end as well appropriate length needed. One thing to note is that the male/female buckles are mated and may not work if they’re from different manufacturers. So trying to find a male section to fit your buckle may be difficult and you’ll need to and better off to replace both.
I’ve used Fast Hook QRB for my motorcycle helmets, but these are more expensive and utilize existing helmet chin strap. As a bit of a hoarder, I’ve saved the belt(s) from my old Columbia shorts to use these quick release buckle straps as hold downs. I’ve attached a photo of an old Columbia belt now used a strap, the nylon webbing is 3/4”. ![]() |

Those look like Lloyds mats. They come with a metal clip that hooks on to the seat rails, and an adjustable nylon strap with a male buckle. You could probably find someone on here with some extras, as you don't need to replace them often.

You might also pull the mats out and look under the rails... sometimes the clips come loose and slide back under the seat when you have the mats out for vacuuming.

I have a set of clips and straps if you’d like them. I can’t find a retail price to reference, but would gladly offer them at a reasonable price. Check out the photo and give me an offer.
