threaded plug in 3.2 flywheel
I have a spare 3.2 flywheel for my 86 engine, but it has no threaded plug to trigger the motronic sensor. the part, 930 102 221 00, is $65 to 75-yikes!!! Is this just an ordinary set screw, or is something else? Thanks in advance for your discussion.

Bought a new one years ago with a stainless screw in it that I replaced with a steel allen head bolt and it worked fine. Don't remember all the details, but i just used one that matched the height, or maybe ground one to match.

It is just a metric grub screw. I think the size is M6x1. I have an old flywheel on the shelf and can double check if you like. Just make sure to loctite it into position.

Make sure it is ferrous and not stainless. Stainless steel is non-magnetic and may weaken the reference pulse amplitude supplied by the sensor.

Confirmed it is M6x1.0., ~12 mm long, installed protruding height is 5mm
