				Thermo Valve = $$$

It seems that I busted this guy durring my motor drop. I just finished finding the part (thermo valve) in the Pelican store and it is over 100.00 bucks. OUCH!!!! While this is probably a great price for the item I just am having a hard time spending that amount for a small plastic part. Thes kind of things make me want to switch to webers and just deal with the SMOG police. Is there a way to bypass or remove this from the CIS system? What are the pros and cons? | ||

I'm running without a thermovalve, so it can be done. Without the thermovalve in place, the WUR recieves engine vacuum as soon as the engine starts. This causes the cold running mixture to be a bit too lean. I adjusted my WUR's cold start mixture a little richer then spec, and my cold start is fine. Just add a vacuum line connector in place of the thermovalve so there are no vacuum leaks. Or buy a used one... Rob 1980sc euro | ||
