1974 CIS Throttle body Vacuum hoses - internal springs?

I have replaced the vacuum hoses on my 74 CIS throttle body and noticed the hoses almost fold as the radius is quite tight on the lines.

I was wondering did the original hoses have springs inside?

photo here showing the ones I mean - not my engine

No springs in the hoses on my '75 either. I used the nice braided euro hose that Pelican sells. I did have a line that was a little tight and used HDPE spiral wrap on that hose for extra support.
