muffler paint/coating?

I'm coming down the home stretch of getting all the items to install SSI's on my 83SC,and one of the items I have purchased is a Leistritz brand 2 in 1 out banana muffler,I'm not sure if it is stainless steel or regular,a magnet does stick to it so I am guessing it is steel, anyway it is in good shape appearance wise but I want to paint/coat it before I install it,what paint or coating do you guys recommend?I would like to do it myself rather than sending it out,I live in Central Florida so road salt is not a concern but heat is.I did a search on the net and there is so many products out there I thought my head would explode!!!!Advice please. Thanks

Eastwood's coatings are better than paints, unless you are in a Councours, in which case see post above.

Porsche Crest

Eastwood sells Eastwood brand!

But, VHT Sperex coatings are probably the best ... especially in quart cans and applied with a touch-up gun!

If you really want it to hold up, use Jet Hot.

Get it ceramic coated...cheaper than Jet-Hot, looks like stainless, good to at least 1200F.

My two cents CDN...

I'll toss this option in. I haven't tried it.

Rustoleum zinc/grey. I think it's made for cold galzanizing. 93% zinc when dry.

Stands up to race temperatures.
