Team,
I have been working through getting my car back up and running. I will say that this forum is a wealth of knowledge! Thank you to everyone that contributes to keeping our air cooled beasts in order!

As I navigate, I have a question about a wire I just can't figure out.

Engine is out and this random wire comes out of the drivers side rear. It has a factory spade connector. The wire is near the brake booster hose. I know my description is less than great. Can anyone offer some thoughts on this wire?

What is the color of this wire and what is your car? (84 3.2 Carrera Cab?)

It is a white wire. Comes the drivers side (left) of engine compartment.

Yes. It is a 1984 3.2 Cabriolet.
