Remember that belt doesn't just drive the alternator ............ drives the fan to cool the motor

There is supposed to be a fan belt and the tools to change it in the tool kit that comes with every 911 and 930... It's an easy DIY job that takes 5 minutes.

So long as your shims don't skip town and disappear down into the crank pulley shroud.

...if you know how to do it. A bit limited room on a 930, compared to na cars and the a/c belt is in the way too. Moving the compressor requires tools too, so lacking tools, I would just cut the a/c belt in a pinch.

kidding aside, I had the wrench just not a belt (never once had any issue w/ belt in 15yrs w/ this car & was newer-ish belt)

A 356 bud is part of a phone-a-friend grou & got me help

Massive shoutout to Ed Anspach of Anspach Auto in Ono, PA!! As well as to a random dude on an R1250GS that stopped, Joel Witmer of Autowurks LLC in Ephrata, PA... got me goin again!!
