Side mirrors for an old car
Im in the process of getting my car to the point that it will pass a state inspection. Im currently trying to decide on what Im going to use for the sides.
Im stuck between these three. ![]() ![]() ![]() I love the slippery look of the 935 mirrors. I did a search here and Im willing to accept the fact that they provide limited visibility and that the stock mounted holes will have to be welded up and filled if I use them. However, I have no idea if they are even DOT legal. Im also still unclear as to whether or not I have to either fill or delete my rain sill with these mirrors. All the pics Ive seen at this point have had the gutters either filled or trimmed. How do the 4" Durant/Talbots compare to the American rectangular mirrors in terms of visibility? Is there anything that is just flat out wrong about using any of these mirrors on a lite & loud flared 73E? What advantages/disadvantages am I overlooking? What are my other options for side mirrors? Any help is appreciated. |

Hi,
My '73 T has the mirror pcitures inthe middle (recatangular). The round ones look like the ones from my '67 912. Personally, I liked the newer ones better and they are in keeping with the rest of the chrome style of the car.

GT Racing no longer has 935 mirrors. Who does? I'm thinking about those for my '73. The holes have already been filled and painted.
