That is so cool. Love the first pict lifting the inside wheel. Must have great traction in the wet to do that. Now I have more motivation to finish mine.
I looked for picts but did not see any. I must go look again. James, Its great to have your cars back on the road and even better that they have returned to competition.

Awsome! But isn't the driver in the red car sitting on the "wrong" side???
PS: Oh. That's you! ![]() PPS: BTW - what sort of wheel sizes are you running? It looks like you were changing them depending on the surface that you were driving. Have any good bench racing stories to share from the event? Oh - did I say that your car looks awsome!

Cool, but as I've always said, "it seems as though no two "ST's" were the same - note the difference in wheel arch widths!!!!!!
Cheers (mine will be a narrow bodied '71 "ST")

nostatic, you did it again... now I'm crying all over my keyboard
Two of the cars I use to race (the R5 Evo 2 and the Audi quattro) in the same set of pictures... and the car I'm trying to put together (the ST) also there... there is no justice in this world... back to my crying now. Thanks for the link.

Jim, I've been away for the past week & have just been catching up with the PP BBS posts I'd missed - excellent to hear the cars are finished (well at least to the stage that you have been able to use them)...
how about an update on the progress since we last heard from you ? Andy '69 911E----------->R Last edited by andyjboy; 05-18-2003 at 02:10 PM.. |

how can anyone be a co driver? If I'm a passenger in a car and look down for a minute to read a Thomas guide I get motion sickness....how those guys are constantly staring down at the map and notes is beyond me...

Peter has been doing it for nearly 40 years now so I guess he's used to it. I think Jim didn't feel quite so good though?

That looks like a fantastic series - a pity they don't have events in the UK. I'd love to see/hear those quattros and porsches - and maybe even a stratos being driven in earnest.

There's one here in Austin, at Moorespeed, getting prepped for next year's Monoco Rally. You can see pictures of it at the R Gruppe web site member's area. Here's one from back in the day, with Bjorn Waldegaard at the wheel. It now belongs to Peter Kitchak (Toad Hall Racing)
