2.7 75-77 fan housing strap length?
Mid 2.7 build and having an issue with this fan housing strap I bought off sierra madre. Seems too short for my 75-77 housing.
![]() ![]() ![]() I didn't know the straps came in different lengths.... Can someone school me? Will this one work? Or anyone have a clean strap that will fit my 75-77 housing I could buy perhaps? ![]() |

I just measured an old one that came off my 1976. 33 1/2 inches +/- a little depending on how you measure. It has the one bolt hole.

The fan housings are all the same outside diameter so all should be a standard length.

Thanks 93nav.
Bruce, that is what I thought but clearly this strap which is an aftermarket piece made by a company called Mittelmotor Gmbh is too short as my fan housing is factory. Buyer beware I suppose...unless I'm missing something obvious. |

IIRC, when I got my strap from Rennline, I thought it was too short and then I had to re-feed it under the fan as it was incorrectly placed the first time around.
I still needed longer bolts (the supplied ones were about 1cm too short) but it did fit.
