My recently acquired 911S stopped running, so I checked the fuel delivery and nothing was at the air plate in the air box, nothing at the filter, then tested the pump and while it is getting 12V, there wasn't any noise nor could I feel it trying to pump while trying to start the car, so I'm pretty confident (thanks to many posts on this site) that we have a bad fuel pump, and it looks like the original one to the car (outlet on the side, banjo fitting, 2 prong electrical connector) so it's probably been on its last leg.
Question: Which fuel pump to replace it with and what else do I need? It seems the Bosh and Pierburg pumps are both built with two electrical connections so some adaptation there, and then likely need a banjo fitting? Anyone do this job that has a parts list for what they used to change the pump from original OEM to a "universal" that per the site will require some modification? |

Search for a fuel pump rebuilding company or install a later SC pump

Hey Bruce, I noticed in the SC pumps that they list compatibility from 77-89.... with this one being a 76, is there any issue with fuel volume/pressure?
