I found an open connector in my porsche 911 3.2 1984

Hello,

I found an open connector in my engine bay. See the picture. Does somebody know what it is? Is it possible this can be the reason why i can't start the Porsche anymore?

Thanks a lot

I replaced the heater fan in the engine compartment on my '84 and knocked a connector off. Wouldn't start...nothing.

Can't see the picture but if it's what I experienced there are three connectors behind the engine fan. Feel around for them and look for a plug laying on the engine tin below. I believe the plug is white.

Does anybody know what is the function of this open connector?
Is it broken?
Where does it needs to be connected on?

Thanks a lot

Is your O2 sensor connected and functional? I would connect just upstream of the Catalytic Converter, which us under the area you photoed/referenced.

it is your oxygen sensor 3 way connector--which is broken off here..But that would not make your engine not to start..as said above check your 3 plugs on left of your engine

The 3 plugs are checked and ok.
I found the problem of bad starting and driving. The plug of the Air sensor valve was dirty inside. I clean the plug with contact-cleaner... and the problem was fixed. So, i want to remove the air-sensor-meter and clean everything very good. But i don't see any instructions on the internet how to remove the air-sensor-meter of a Porsche 911 3.2 1984. Does somebody has a procedure how to remove this air-sensor-meter?

Thanks,
