Pressure Bleeding 76 911 !?

I am presuming that my 76 2.7 911 brake plumbing is much the same as most:

How can you use a pressure bleeder when the system from the brake fluid reservoir to the MC is not designed to be pressurized eg the hose connections are only push fit rubber hose connections (especially the short 2" rubber (RES to MC) connections located between the back of the brake pedal and bulkhead.

I wonder how many may have pop'd off or leaked fluid though applying pressure to the non-pressurised section of the brake system.

Be interesting to know how people get around this, before I do it: Take a chance, put additional hose clips on, my presumption is wrong and out of factory they do have hose clips on all connections, push fit is considered adequate ........?

Cheers

Use the pressure recommended in the bleeder info. I’ve had my pressure bleeder for about 12 years and never had any leaks.

I use the motive bleeder. I had 5-10 psi on it and no issues. Make sure you pinch off the vent line and watch for leaks out of it. I ended up with a footwell full of brake fluid…

Pressure blending works fine, but make sure you pinch off or cap the overflow tube or you’ll have a whole bunch of fluid running out near the front wheel!

Oops, my browser didn’t refresh and I gave you the same answer as Nonstock, but now you have two opinions saying the same thing.

I use 10-12 PSI on my 1979. No issues.

The only time I did have an issue was when I got distracted and left pressure in the system while eating dinner. A little fluid started leaking past the reservoir hoses.

Same here on my 1973. Never an issue. Never a leak.

I put a vacuum cap on my vent line. Use about 5 psi, 78 SC with boost. Pressure bled the fronts, I have speed bleeders for the rears. Both work well. I’ve have brake fluid leaking out the frunk before I realized I needed to plug off the vent on the reservoir.
