Washers for Oil Change

My local wrench from whom I bought my new oil filter and washers is very detailed oriented. Unlike the local dealers, he gave me two different crush washers. One is copper and the other is aluminum. The problem is I do no remember which one goes where. Aluminum on case? copper on tank? or vice versa.

Thanks

On my '91 they're both aluminum, but, the the old theory of dissimilar metals being bad, I'd say copper on tank and aluminum on case. my $0.02

Either works, IMHO. After all, even at once per year oil changes, not enuf dissimiar metal electrolysis should happen to make a huge difference. My question is where you could buy a crush washer like that for a price of less than currently charged? OR...are we just talking another P-car tax? If these washers were SAE? Aluminum or copper? What? Maybe a nickle each?
