front torsion bars
Hey fellow Porsche owners. I am having problems replacing my front torsion bars on my 74 911. I had to have front pan replaced, so had to take all suspension off. Got everything back on, slid the torsion bars into control arm, adjusted bolt, but when I lowered the car it just dropped to the ground like the torsion bars aren't there. I have tried this a couple of times. I can't find anything that can answer me why. I'm hoping someone out there can explain what I am doing wrong. Thanks. Dano911

Are you starting with the control arm at full droop?
Measure the angle @ full droop, then set the bars aprox the same on both sides. Set the adjusters half way, lower the car, measure the ride height . If you can't get the height you want then pull the rear cap off and move it one spline to go higher or lower , u can reference to the original Degrees Let us know if that helps Ian

You have the adjuster end cap installed, correct? Take some pictures.
