Sporto owners
As some of you know I have spent many hours fine tuning my sporto transmission.
After a good drive on the weekend I realised Im not there yet ! (but close) two problems persist 1) When I start the car the idle is fine and stable. BUT when I drive the car and (I come to a set of traffic lights for example)If I put the gear in Neutral the the idle starts to raise higher and higher and keeps on going ! ???? So basically when I drive I always keep the car in gear to prevent this problem. I use to have this problem when I first got the car and I fixed it by replacing the Air auxiliary valve with a new one ( I hope the new one has also not died on me ) 2) When accelerating in lower gears I can hear a slight high pitch whining sound from the transmission. Could someone please offer some guidance ! Also on the same issue as 1, What causes the revs to significantly drop when the car is taken out of neutral and put into gear ??? |

Sorry I meant to say "deceleration valve" not air auxiliary valve my car doesn't have an AAV its an early 75 model.
