I used these guys recently to ship an aircraft engine from Pa to Al - cost was $180, it shipped in half the time I would have expected and arrived totally secure. No I don’t work for them, just a customer pleased to find a company who does what they say they’ll do and at a very reasonable price. Cost less in fact to ship than the set of fuchs I just had shipped from Fl.

If its on a pallet, I use YRC Freight. superb LTL service. have used them for gearboxes and motors. Best ( and least expensive) is to find a YRC depot near you and drop off there. even from a PU truck, they will fork it off the back for you at a depot. I have been sending gearboxes back and forth from Sebring to PA this winter. 150lb gearbox, $130 bucks one way.

Engine Shipping Recommendation

We used Forward Air twice - OK to AZ - - AZ to Omaha . . . on a palate boxed over
with plywood . . . Excellent service but you need to take it to the depot and pick it up also
. . . I used a Uhaul trailer and Engine hoist to get the job done . . .
the palate helps the shipper move the engine around at their depot .

Regards,
Roy T

I've used Forward Air. No hiccups.
