Minimum ride height vs. spring rate.

I could use the benefit of your collective experience.

I am going to upgrade my stock 78 SC suspension as follows:

22mm front / 30mm rear Torsion Bars (solid)
TRG adjustable Sway bars
Bilstein Sport Shocks and Struts
Front and rear Monoball cartridges

Also, I am planning on running Kumho Victoracer 225-50-16's front and 245-45-16's in the rear on 7", 9"X16 Fuchs for dry track tires. The front fender lips are rolled.

I have the torsion bars and sway bars already, so I don't need recommendations telling me to go to a different size. The car is a track car. I drive it on the street for an occasional joy ride or shake down. I don't care about ride quality. I am after optimum handling.

What is the ideal ride height for general track use with this setup? I will run at two very different tracks near me: Carolina Motorsports Park and VIR. For those not familiar with these venues: CMP - tight and technical, VIR faster with more high speed sweeper.

I know this is gonna be good! I can't wait for your responses.

I'll pass on this suggestion that a knowledgeable guy passed on to me years ago. Set the front ride height so that the A-arms are essentially parallel to the ground and then adjust the rear so that the car is level or has a slight rake.

Now, I have heard cries of bull***** with regards to this method, but the guy (who owns a shop, BTW) was very stinkin' fast. I have done my car along these lines and it seems to be decent advice. My car seems very similar to yours, but I have 29mm bars in the rear and I'm running wider tires...

My two pfennigs...

I should add, I am at a point where I could raise the spindles to avoid bump steer. Should I or shouldn't I?
