Darn that muscle memory - pressed clutch w/ G50 slave off of tranny. Press back?

Hopped in the car w/ no engine/transmission in it on the lift to remove the shifter and muscle memory kicked in prior to moving shift level - depressed the clutch that's wire tied up in the air. Pedal obviously stuck to the floor. What's the protocol here- simply press the piston back in the slave? Slave isn't bled yet and all 4 corners will be re-bled prior to the car running - but any issues I need to be aware of besides not being so distracted in the future? Thanks! | ||

You should be OK (after cleaning it) to carefully re-insert the piston ensuring the seal doesn't deform while pushing in. Lube with some clean brake fluid. Good luck.

If pressing it doesn't lift the pedal just lift the pedal so the piston uncovers the inlet port from the reservoir and then you can get it to slowly press in. It will take some force to do it by hand.
