Distributor Rebuild
Hi guys, can anyone recommend a supplier to rebuild / recurve an old distributor?
I have a 0 237 304 016 but it needs to be a 0 237 306 016, does it matter? |
The 123 ignitionusa.com Dist is your best bet
used or rebuilt is a waste of $ Ian Look them up here on pelican |
I hoping to agree with icarp at some point. But not yet b

lewis , your dist was a custom made and not so tested item, I am not happy either .
The 911sc 123 works as it should. Just do not keep any program curves in your phone other than the one in the car . Then it is great Ian |
I just got my distributor completely refurbished by Glen Yee Motorsports and it was cheaper than ignition123. It looks brand new.

Try Jerry Woods. He did by Bosch and Marelli.

Here’s another place to check out on the Internet that I found two years ago, that can totally rebuild a Bosch distributor for Porsches.
Advanced Distributor, LLC. 17495 Marystown Rd, Shakopee, MN. 55379 Ph (612) 804-5543 Email- Jeff@advancedistributors.com I have not personally had my distributor rebuilt yet but I called and talked to Jeff back in April 2021 he was very informative and easy to talk to he gave me a price range for rebuilding a distributor but that was two years ago since his prices may have gone up the price range that he did give me was $200 to $300. I hope this helps. M fisk |
Thanks Guys!
I'll check out Glen Yee Motorsports, Jerry Woods Enterprises and Advanced Distributor. |
+1 for Glenn Yee!

For the Glenn Yee users how much did it you pay?
I have an SC and 2.7 distributors that need help |
I’ve had several great experiences with sending Jeff at advanced distributors my Lucas distributors. He has a worksheet to fill out and he’ll call you. I would not hesitate to send him my Bosch distributor when its Time for a rebuild.

He also rebuilds and blueprints oil pumps, just so people know. |
Hi Guys,
I reached out to Jeff Schlemmer at Advanced Distributor and he took great care of me. My dizzy was high-milage and very worn, but he resurrected it and it works great! I highly recommend him for any distributor work. |
Jeff at Advanced Distributor just did a fantastic job on my rebuild. Background as always- 1986 3.2 Coupe, now 166K. I replaced the Cap & Rotor this June at 163K. About two weeks ago, I remembered it might be smart to oil the felt shaft pad, as I failed to do that at the time. So I popped the Cap (to add some oil) and discovered an internal shim had sheared in half! (It was just laying in the bottom of the Distributor cup!) Also noticed much more than 1mm of vertical shaft play. Off to Jeff, who turned the unit around in under 1 week and was also a great guy to generally speak with. The unit came back looking better than new. Great turnaround, great customer service, and great pricing! A+++ FYI- I also installed a new dust cover #930-602-909-00, as the original was pretty mangled.

The shop I use sent the distributor to ************ (p@rtsclassic) to be rebuilt…it is my only experience having a distributor rebuilt, but my mechanic does have high standards.
