Rennline valve cover question
Anyone able to weigh in on experience with Rennline valve covers.
Have 3 liter in a 914 and lower Turbos just a bit too rich $$$. Need to stop leaks. Thanks for input.

No experience with these valve covers but have you checked your existing covers for flatness. I'd also try a silicone gasket before the investment in valve covers.

I’ve used them on my 3.6 in my SC and it cured all the leaks from the old valve covers

A used set of Turbo covers can get you there for a fraction of the price. Use a large sheet of sandpaper attached to a piece of glass tile. Sand it down moving in figure eights and other directions.
Use the silicon bead lower gaskets as mentioned. Use the correct new nuts and washers. Don't over tighten. Tighten in a star pattern. If leaking persists, think about rocker shaft RSR seals, and to check for misalignment of shafts.

T,
What Duane suggests is what we did at the shop with leaky valved covers.

Conventional gaskets and 15 ft lbs per nut...done in the same manner you would a head tightening outside to inside high/low.
A professional Porsche wrench does that and told me to try it....3 valve adjustments done and it works perfectly.

Any FLAT cover will work...
Turbo covers, rennline or other billet ones.... Choose the one that fits your budget...
