Clocking a turbo??

I believe that is the correct term for turning the cold side of turbo on its axix. I would like to turn the cold side counter clockwise to better line up with my pressure pipe and am not sure if this is wise. This is a K27 and does not have the compression ring that holds the hot/cold sides together on a K26 rather it has a series of small bolts with tangs that hold them together. Did that make sense? If I loosen these and turn the cold side CCW what torque to I use to tighten these back up? Do I have to worry about unseating a seal or something? Thanks guys

commonly done. no problem.

Thanks John, any idea on the torque for the bolts?

I backed the bolts off about 3/4 turn and then tightened them using my calibrated eyeball. I set the torque to "snug," as used with valve covers.

Mine had no gaskets. It was metal-to-metal.
