VIN plated rivets and A pillar material

I'm hoping someone knows where to get 2 correct rivets and the material that would go under the vin plate on the A pillar. I purchased a fire damaged car a few years ago and its getting ready for paint. The material under the plate was destroyed but the VIN plate is fine. Any help would be apprciated. Photos of damage and progress added.

Looks like maybe an unfused dash wire short caused the fire?

I used a vinyl and backing material supplied by a company in Southern California, not GAHH or K&H - I will continue to search but can't find it in my inbox. It was a pretty close match to what came off the car, a '69 911.

The previous owner parked the car in his garage with an E cigarette left in the car. That is what I was told.
