Kiki got wounded this morning....

Looks like my 911, Helga, will be the daily driver for the next few weeks - it'll be tough.....

Kiki, my honda civic/commuter car, was rear ended today about a mile before exit 31b on RT128 south in the slow lane. The jerk jumped out of his car - oh you have no damage no damage at all. I got out a good chunk of paint is missing from the bumper and it doesn't line up with anything anymore..... Its ugly.... I'm thrilled it wasn't the Porsche, and I'm also thrilled the 911 is running right . Looks like its my daily driver for the next few weeks, gee things could be worse .

Oh well insurance company will make Kiki better....

Anyone have an idea about how long all of this will take to get fixed? I like having two cars just in case, so I really want my commuter back as well.

Thanks,
Anthony

Sounds like a good excuse to drive the 911 to me! I had a headlight out on my daily driver the other day and drove the 911 because of it, even though I don't drive in the dark to or from work! You never know though. I'm always looking for excuses to drive it.

Anthony,
Glad you're alright and the p-car was safely in the garage.

I avoid 128 at all costs during rush hour. I've been driving from Boston to Worcester at 7:30am for the last few days and I can't believe the traffic going in and the CRAZY drivers.

Dave

the 86 911 is my daily driver.... I dont care about storing it. If you have it...then enjoy it...thats my philosophy. However, I live in So Cal aka "Porschedom" and if I lived up North in MA...Id certainly have a Honda just like you!

You'll probably get your Honda back late next week.

I can understand you need a name for a dog but what the mentality of giving your car a name? If you call it's name, it will never call you back?

It was nice driving the Porsche to work today Sometimes I stay with my GF in town so I'd like to keep it looking good...

I was talking with the insurance company today and I more or less told them I don't want kiki back... One of the gaps on the trunk is no longer lined up. I think something must have bent and if they can't make it like new I don't want it. Kiki is the commuter car and needs to be straight and safe. We'll see what happens to her once she hits the body shop.

Caliber: How can you not name your cars? I develop a relationship with my vehicles (keep mind out of gutter) and I find the run better. Its a machine but they all have something of a personality, I have name all of my cars:

Mercy - '75 MB 300D
Rocket - '86 Honda CRX Si
Tank - '81 MB 300SD
Christine (after the car in the book) - '02 Ford Mustang GT Conv
Kiki - '00 Honda Civic
Helga - '86 911

Each car has had its own personality. Christine seemed to be upset after a chick left the passenger seat or I didn't touch for a day or two. She also leaked water on me when it rained, so shw was kicked back to ford... Every car has had its own personality. I'm really suprised as a Porsche owner you don't name yours. Helga has a definate personality - a good one as well. I also haven't driven another 911 that feels exactly like she does. Why do people name boats?

Oh well - happy speeding
Anthony

I only name my cars when I'm being really emotional and involved- and then it's usually something long and very formal like:

"F@#&* PIECE OF $@#T!!!"

That's the only name I've ever had for a car.

...But Kiki??

If I'm not mistaken, that's vulgar in Philipino.

and your right -- the name fits the car!

The car just seems so damn tinny.... When I shut the door I feel as if I could break something. When it idles it makes no noise - I don't understand it. It reminds me of a shallow surfer girl really, that was why I named Kiki.

Helga seems firm and attractive with more substance - good german/norwegian type name. For those of you that have been to either country you know that a most of the young ladies are attractive, so that was that name.
