Fuel accumelator

The fuel accumelator on my 75 911 and 3.0 leaking fuel,
It's the early 2 fitting type, I received the new one yesterday.but it's a 3 fitting , is it possible to upgrade to 3 fitting?
Regards

Never tested this. No experience, no knowledge. But from my side I would say yes. The 3rd connector is an overflow. You can close that overflow with a small hose or a plug. I would check it then from time to time if there is some fuel and remove it. Never leave it open while driving. If fuel spills on the hot engine and exhaust ....
Also imaginable is to make a connection to the return line to the gas tank as it is in later 911 models as the SC.

Ice cube,

Yes. All you need is the correct return line from FA to FD.

Tony.
Do you have a part number.
I can't find the exact part. Is it an sc or 75 part.

Engine Identification.........

What year is your 3.0 liter SC? Cohline plastic for ‘78~’80 and metal lines for ‘81~’83. Or have Len C. make one for you. I would not recommend buying used fuel line for your motor.

The engine number 6450250.
That's a 2.7l.
The mechanic told me it's a 3.0 engine!!!!

Ice,

Another trick is to use the OEM SC return that has the fuel accumulator drain line. I will look that piece and post a picture. Len C. is making them available.

The return fuel line and the drain from the FA are not under pressure. You just need to "T" into the return line with plain fuel hose. I'd still use hose clamps on the connections because you don't want those coming loose in the engine compartment.

The 2.7 motors only had the (2) fittings.

Easiest way is to simply cap off the 3rd fitting. I have M14 Female caps if needed.

Otherwise you must add a TEE to the Polyamide Return line which is complicated.

I do not recommend using a Hose as the fittings are different.

You must use Poly fittings that are not common here in the USA.

I can make this up with Poly, but why spend the $$. Just cap this off.

I don't mean to T into the polyamide return line, but the regular fuel hose that goes back to the tunnel from the engine compartment. Easy peasy.
